The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in the state of California at the age of 55.

Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.

The celebrated video game developer died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, as reported by.
