Football Expert Chris Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions

The Gunners' 10-game winning run was ended by the Black Cats prior to the global break, but will the English top division frontrunners recover against local foes Spurs this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against artificial intelligence, readers and a variety of guests.

In week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

The singer's new album, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Football and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of several charity football games over time - but he is not planning a serious return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity match the other night for a friend of mine," he said. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.

"I won't force football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their weekend football side," he added.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a football club for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our team for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their offense is already more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this fixture will be quite tight, though. The Clarets are well organised and their sole home losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, the Hammers secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they appear competitive again.

West Ham's sole away win this season came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously Forest manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - can West Ham extending their streak under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to go with the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

Olly's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign started, but they have surprised a few people under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their past four games.

A family member told me to select Brentford striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will likely score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are consistently decent at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a danger.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality proves to be rather close. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.

Fulham have got lots of quality in their team but it still seems like they could be dragged into a relegation battle.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.

Their performance in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not seen anyone else rough up the North London side like that this term, and they were more than a match for them.

The logical choice would be to support the visitors here, because they are clearly able of roughing Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of last month.

But I am not going to do that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at Fulham's home form, the only team they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be absolutely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

The guest's choice: I know Sunderland are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a poor streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at home this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 games in all competitions, but might they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
